Boom Town is a new genre hybrid that mixes the conventions of structured reality with those of a traditional sketch show. Everyone who appears in the show is completely real; however some scenes have been ‘enhanced’ for viewers entertainment and the way they are cut together will push strongly on the conventions of a sketch show.
